A video taken in Florida shows an aggressive alligator attempt to attack a man and a woman as they drive by in a golf cart.
The February 16th clip, captured by Ava Maria resident Denise Prues, shows the gator walk up to a pond just before a golf cart passes by. The huge reptile then opens its jaws and charges the cart, causing the frightened driver to swerve in an attempt to avoid it, the video reveals. Although the tiny vehicle nearly tips over into the water, the driver manages to keep all four wheels on the ground and speed away. The alligator then can be seen climbing into the pond.
According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, alligator attacks are “rare,” but “bites may occur when people do not pay close enough attention to their surroundings when working or recreating near water."
