(Woodmere) The iconic Cleveland area deli, Corky and Lenny's Restaurant and Deli has closed. A sign greeted employees and customers Tuesday morning, citing staffing concerns. The original restaurant opened on Green Road in South Euclid in 1958. The Woodmere location on Chagrin Blvd. opened in 1973. Manager Adam Siegel tells 3-News that the news hit hard, and the staff and loyal customers are all like family. He says when the restaurant reopened after the pandemic, many of their employees didn't return to work. And they had been about 10-15 short of a full staff.
