Guardians Beat Twins 5-2 In 10 Innings On Calhoun's 3 Run HR - 5 Games Back

The Cleveland Guardians picked up a series win against the Minnesota Twins with a 5-2, ten-inning win in the rubber match at Target Field. Minnesota scored two runs in the bottom of the fifth on a two-run double by Jorge Polanco, but Cleveland tied the game in the ninth when Andres Gimenez scored on a wild pitch. Kole Calhoun hit a three-run home run in the top of the tenth to put Cleveland up for good. Trevor Stephan earned his sixth win, and Emmanuel Clase picked up his 36th save. . The Guardians are just five games behind Minnesota for first place in the AL Central. The team welcomes the Rays to Progressive Field tomorrow.
