Dog Owner In Court

(Cleveland) - Barbara Wible, the woman facing charges after dogs were found dead in her house in Parma, has pleaded not guilty in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

The 68-year-old Wible is charged with 36 counts of Cruelty to Companion Animals, also known as Goddard's Law, named for the late Fox 8 meteorologist Dick Goddard. Parma Police say there were 36 dogs in Wible's house, many emaciated, many dead.

The judge set Wible's bond at $10,000, and she was ordered to not have any contact with or be in care of dogs.

Wible, the founder of a pet rescue organization, is also facing charges in Portage County for having over 150 dead dogs in a house she owns in Mantua.
