Marion Police Car-Fire Department Vehicle Collide While Responding To Call

An Ohio police officer and two paramedics are recovering after they crashed into each other while responding to a call on Tuesday.

The incident occurred at about 3 p.m. in Quarry Park, where a Marion police officer and two paramedics were racing to the scene of a reported drowning, according to the City of Marion Fire Department. The two vehicles met in the middle of an intersection, causing the fire department vehicle to roll several times, officials say.

All three people were injured and both vehicles were totaled, police say. Investigators have not yet determined who’s responsible for the crash.
