Mike Shannon, Legendary Cardinals Radio Broadcaster Is Dead At 83

Legendary Cardinals radio broadcaster Mike Shannon is dead at the age of 83. Shannon passed away in St. Louis on Saturday. He spent nine seasons in the big leagues with St. Louis between 1962 and 1970. He won two World Series championships as a player, and he joined the broadcast booth in 1972. Shannon continued to call Cardinals 50 years before stepping away after the 2021 season. He was inducted into the Cardinals Hall of Fame during the 2014 season.
