CLEVELAND - Country music newcomer Nate Barnes made a visit to iHeart Radio-Cleveland recently to promote his music including his new single âYou Ainât Prettyâ on Quartz Hill Records. Barns says ââCountry music teaches you about life â about how to live, about how to be and about how to treat people. It made me feel things that I didnât want to feel and that shifted my whole deal. It changed how I lived, how I thought and my whole perspective on life.â

Barnes grew up in South Haven, Michigan working at a power plant for many years and now calls Nashville home. Musically influenced by both of his grandparents, Barnes grew up singing with his family after Sunday dinners, during which âMotown was always playing on the radio.â
Though heâs spent years playing bars, coffee shops, small venues and festivals in and around his hometown, Barnes was discovered as a result of a chance encounter â call it a fluke â when he met chart-topping songwriter Jason Sellers while passing through Nashville on his way to vacation in Gatlinburg.
Barnes is currently in the studio working with producers Mickey Jack Cones (Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett) and Derek George (Randy Houser) on his Quartz Hill Records debut. Itâs a dream-come-true that isnât lost on Barnes.
