Cleveland Metroparks Zoo Opens Today

(Cleveland) - The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is opening today for walk-through visitors for the first time since the start of the pandemic. The zoo briefly allowed visitors to drive through the grounds.

The zoo will be open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Members and non-members of the zoo are asked to buy tickets in advance. This allows the zoo to manage attendance, and have touch-less transactions.

Changes include one-way directional flow in some areas, the addition of hand-washing stations, and frequent sanitizing of touchable surfaces by zoo staff. All zoo employees will wear face coverings, and guests are encouraged to do so.

All zoo concessions, with the exception of the RainForest Cafe, will be open, weather permitting.

The zoo's playground, Camel Ride, and tram service will not be available.
