Parma - An armed robbery turn police chase through the streets of Parma and Cleveland has landed three in jail.

On September 8th at approximately 1745 hours, Parma Police Officers responded to the area of 5245 Ridge Road (Verizon) for a report of an aggravated robbery.

The first officer on scene began gathering and disseminating information. The suspects were described as three or four black males, wearing all black, all with guns, that left in an unknown direction. One customer was pistol whipped in the head while a clerk was ordered around the store with a gun pointed at his head.

Officers saturated the area and observed a black Honda Civic driving erratically.Officers attempted to make a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle accelerated at a high rate of speed northbound into Cleveland as officers pursued the vehicle. Due to the gravity of the situation and nature of the call (all occupants being armed and dangerous) the pursuit continued until the suspect vehicle crashed into a guard rail at the on-ramp of I-71 North at Pearl Rd./W. 25th St. in Cleveland.

One suspect fled from the vehicle into Riverside Cemetery where Parma officers arrested him shortly afterwards with the assistance of officers from Brooklyn PD and Cleveland PD. The other two occupants remained inside the vehicle and were taken into custody without further incident.

Two of the occupants were treated at local hospitals and both were later released. All three adult males are in custody at the Parma Police Jail, but charges have not yet been filed.
