On 03/28/2019, the maintenance man from the Knickerbocker Apartments called BVPD to report a suspicious vehicle in their parking lot.The car had been parked there for an extended period of time, and had not been moved.The responding officer ran the vehicles license plate and learned the vehicle had been reported stolen in Brecksville.Brecksville PD was contacted, and they responded to process the scene and take possession of the vehicle.
On 03/30/2019, at 0008 hrs, a BVPD officer stopped a vehicle on Lake Rd. near Longbeach for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 62 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.The Avon Lake resident will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
On 03/30/2019, at 0055 hrs, a motorist called 911 to report a car parked facing westbound in the eastbound lanes of Lake Rd. near the Avon Lake border.The caller reported the vehicle was occupied, and it appeared as though the driver was passed out.BVPD officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver.After speaking with him, officers suspected the 22 yoa male had been drinking.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.The Avon Lake resident will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
On 03/31/2019, at 1221 hrs, BVPD received a complaint of possible OVI in the area of Lake Rd. and Breezewood.A BVPD officer located the vehicle on Lake Rd. near Saddler, and stopped it for a traffic violation.After speaking with the 35 yoa male driver, the officer suspected the driver was under the influence of drugs.Field sobriety tests were administered, and as a result, the driver was arrested for OVI.He is also facing various drug charges. The Kirtland resident will face charges at Rocky River Municipal Court.
