Jarvis Landry To Host Celebrity Softball Game June 15th

Carolina Panthers v Cleveland Browns

Eastlake - Jarvis Landry is bringing his smile, possible center-fielding skills and some celebrities to Classic Park in Eastlake in a celebrity softball game this summer.

The first Jarvis Landry & Friends Celebrity Softball Game is set for June 15th, beginning with a home run derby at 4 p.m., and followed by the softball game at 5 p.m. Gates are expected to open at 3 p.m.

Classic Park of course is the home of the Lake County Captains, the Single-A minor league baseball affiliate of the Cleveland Indians.

“The seven-inning Celebrity Softball Game is designed as an interactive experience between the players and fans in attendance and will feature various in-game promotions and giveaways as well as opportunities for select fans to walk away with autographs,” according to the news release on the event.

Though not confirmed as of yet, Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield and receiver Odell Beckham may appear at the event.

Proceeds from the event will go to charity. Ticket prices range from $20 for bleacher seats to $47 for premium box seats in rows A and B. Other tickets are available for $27 and $37. They go on sale at 9 a.m. March 27th and can be purchased at the Classic Park box office, by phone at 440-954-WINS (9467) or online at captainsbaseball.com or jarvislandrysoftball.com. Parking passes for the Classic Park Gold Lot will be available for $15 per parking slot.

“The passion of football fans in northeast Ohio is unbelievable,” Landry said in a statement. “Being able to host a memorable event for our fans, like this softball game, is a chance to bring everyone together this June in anticipation of a big season this fall.

“I can’t wait to see the Orange and Brown pack the stands at Classic Park on June 15th and I promise that this event will be full of fun and surprises!”

The event is being coordinated by Clear Vision Marketing Group, the Captains and Landry.
