GOODYEAR, Ariz. -- Three, 36 and 40. Those are countdowns that only true Tribe fans may be aware of, but one thing is for sure: baseball is getting closer.

As the Cleveland Indians held their second official full squad workout at the club's player development complex, it became worth noting that there are only three days until the first Cactus League exhibition game against the Cincinnati Reds at Goodyear Ballpark, 36 days until the season opener at Target Field in Minneapolis against the Twins and 40 until Opening Day in Cleveland at Progressive Field.

The Tribe has been doing all of the normal baseball activities they normally do to prepare for the upcoming season including batting practice, bullpen sessions, infield practice and individual sessions. However, with over 21 new faces joining the club over the off-season, there is more turnover now than with any other club in Terry Francona's time as manager.

Francisco Lindor is out 7-9 weeks due to a calf strain, but even Francona mentioned he'll be busy in the coming days at the facility with his rehab.

The Indians open Cactus League play Saturday at Goodyear Ballpark. First pitch is set for 3:05 pm ET and can be heard on Newsradio WTAM 1100.
