Rocky River Police Blotter: December 11th

Rocky River - Below are items of interest from the Rocky River Police from Tuesday, 12/04/2018 through Monday, 12/10/2018.

  • On 12/07/2018 at about 3:05 PM a Palmer Dr. resident reported that a package was delivered to her home by Federal Express from Montgomery Ward; the addressee was not a resident of the house. Shortly after delivery, two men came to her door and said the package was for them, but was delivered to the wrong address. The complainant gave the packages to the men, but later thought it was likely a fraudulent order. The two men that picked up the package were in their 20's, spoke with accents, and left the area in a black four door sedan.


  • On 12/09/2018 at about 9:40 AM a resident at 18501 Hilliard Blvd. reported that someone either slashed or let the air out of his tires. The caller said he parked his car in the wash bay at the condominium complex because no other spaces were available and expects an angry neighbor is responsible. The tires were inflated and there is no apparent damage.


  • On 12/09/2018 at about 11:30 AM a Kensington Oval resident called to report the theft of a wreath from the front door that occurred sometime overnight. Later, at about 12:35 PM, a Roslyn Dr. resident reported two wreaths were taken from his house.


  • On 12/10/2018 at about 10:30 AM, a student at Rocky River Middle School reported that his bicycle was stolen sometime between 12/05/2018 and 12/06/2018. He said he left his bike unlocked at the fence near the library that morning but did not ride it home. When he looked for it the next day it was gone. The bike is a red, white, and blue 24" Nishiki.
